Valentine Ozigbo, the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2021 Anambra governorship election, was in Agulu, in Anaocha Local Government Area on Friday, September 24, 2021, as the Kingland family in Ubaha-Ifiteani paid their last respects to their late matriarch, Mrs Pauline Ezeani Kingland.
Late Pauline Kingland was the mother of Amb Justin Kingland, a famous musician, media entrepreneur, and social activist who is an ardent supporter of Ozigbo’s governorship bid.
The burial mass was presided over by His Grace, the Most Rev Jonas Benson, the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka, and was attended by a host of dignitaries, including His Excellency Peter Obi, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 general election.
In his condolence message, Mr Ozigbo expressed sadness over the loss of Mrs Kingland and prayed for the bereaved family.
“My heart goes out to the Kingland family, especially my good friend, Justin, who has been an invaluable asset to our campaign organisation,” the respected business leader said.
“I am saddened by Mama’s loss, and I have come to pay my last respect to her.
“Mama lived an extraordinary life that calls for thanksgiving to God.
“Everyone who knew her can testify of the love and care she exuded while she lived, and we will miss her for these virtues.
“I pray that God grants her family the fortitude to bear the loss,” Ozigbo prayed.
Several directors and members of the PDP Governorship Campaign Organisation accompanied Ozigbo to the event.
